Great Lake Pathway: Step outside and you're on one of New Zealand's most scenic walking and cycling tracks. Follow the path along the water's edge directly into Taupo town centre - about 15 minutes on foot.
Taupo Town Centre: Cafés, restaurants, boutique shops and the Saturday morning market are all an easy stroll away. No need to drive.
Hot Water Beach: A short walk along the pathway brings you to a natural geothermal spot where warm springs bubble up through the sand - perfect for a soak right at the lake's edge.
Water Sports
Free Kayak Use: Complimentary kayaks and life jackets are available for all guests. With direct lake access, you can be on the water in seconds.
Natural Hot Water Beach: A short stroll along the pathway leads to a natural geothermal section of the lake shore, where warm springs bubble up through the sand - a unique warm soak right at the water's edge.
Prime Swimming: The lake is right at your door - ideal for an early morning swim, a sunset dip, or just cooling off after a day of exploring.
Events & Adventure
Ironman & Events: The run course passes right outside the property - perfectly positioned for athletes and spectators alike, with easy access to all main event hubs and transition zones.
Tongariro & Beyond: The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is an hour away, Whakapapa ski field on Mt Ruapehu is under an hour, and the Taupo Cycle Challenge route runs through town.
Local Sightseeing: Huka Falls, Craters of the Moon, and the boat departure points for the Māori Rock Carvings are all a short drive from the property.
