"Looking for 'peace by the water'? You can't get better than this location at Roam Taupo. The ability to sit on a great deck and watch the weather change across Lake Taupo from misty mornings to gorgeous sunsets is incredible. The access because of the location involves very steep stairs to the accommodation so do talk to the owners if you think accessibility may be an issue. They are very helpful and available. We had elderly parents with us and had to navigate a solution. Once there though we all commented how "worth it" was the experience and had a special time at Roam Taupo."

"I absolutely loved my stay here! The place was very clean and spotless, everything looked well-maintained and fresh. The waterfront view was stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset — perfect for relaxing or enjoying a cup of coffee by the window. The host was amazing and super friendly, helpful, and attentive. They gave great recommendations for local cafes, restaurants, and nearby attractions, which made my trip so much easier and more enjoyable. This accommodation is perfect for couples or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again!"

"Great location to stay right on the lake, you couldn’t beat walking 2 meters from the deck to go for a swim! The house is new and tidy and had beach towels which was a helpful extra. We would happily stay again and recommend to others."

"We stayed in Unit 3. What a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy the views over Lake Taupo and beyond! Amazing unit, modern and comfortable. Great kitchen and Bathroom. Comfortable beds! Easy walk to town or the surf club. Down the stairs and you can swim in the lake, slightly warmed by the hot water beach close by. Then warm up in the private spa pool! We would absolutely stay again! Thanks."

"WOW, what a spot. The views were just breathtaking. Roam was a great place to stay to towards the end of our trip. It could not have been any more perfect.
Everything was extremely clean. Well presented in every aspect. Excellent quality bedding, towels etc. there was everything we needed plus more. Highly recommended and will definitely be back on our next holiday."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Roam Taupō. The place was stunning and the views from the living area and bedroom were on another level. Super accessible - you can step out onto the public foot path from the decking to paddle in the lake or walk into town. A perfect stop on our road trip!"

"The loveliest stay, and the best view! The place was exactly as described and pictured. Heidi replied very promptly, and even sent assistance with our suitcases for offloading. Had a great morning walk at the trail along the shoreline just outside our cabin, then cooked and had breakfast at the terrace. I will be talking about the experience at this place for a long long time. Truly one for the memory."
